 Congratulations Sasha on receiving the Room 4 Community Award at our Kauri Team Assembly today. (Monday 14 April 2014). Well done Sasha!
 Ashton stands tall and proud as he shows off the trophies he received for coming second in the South Island Champs and for representing Canterbury at the Canterbury BMX Championships.  
On Wednesday 16 April 2014, Ashton heads to Tauranga for the New Zealand National BMX Championships. Last year he got 8th place. This year he is aiming for number 1! You go for it Ashton!
Lindsay and Jakob both represented Oaklands School on Wednesday 9 April at the Year 5/6 Rugby League tournament held at the Christchurch showgrounds. The boys played 6 different teams, winning 4 and losing 2. Overall the Oaklands School Year 5/6 Rugby League Team came 2nd. What a tremendous effort boys. We're proud of you!
Wariesha, Amelia, Nicholas and Emily have not only been using, but also showing the CARE value of Community effectively in our classroom this term. They have been recognised for this by being awarded a Kauri Team Community certificate at our team assembly.
Congratulations Taylah and Wariesha on being nominated Year 5 Mathletes at our Kauri Team Assembly.
On Thursday 10 April Amelia was one of 8 students selected to represent Oaklands School at the Canterbury Swimming Championships in Rolleston. Amelia was entered in the backstroke event. Out of 8 students all racing to be in first place, Amelia came 4th. This is definitely an achievement she can be really proud of! Way to go Amelia!
Congratulations Jack and Hailey on being elected Room 4's Class Councillors for 2014. Well done!
