Kauri Duathlon

This was our first experience at the run bike run. We were nervous but excited. It was fun getting ourselves into teams and working together to complete the course around the Halswell Domain.
First we had to run then bike and lastly, one more run. Finishing the course was tough, but at least come next year we'll know exactly what to expect.
Seed Gathering
Part of being a Year 4 is being responsible for the Food Forest and the chooks. Our first task was to work with Mr McAven and the Year 8 students to collect seeds from last years plants.
We collected Red Clover, Borage and Yarrow. These seeds would be replanted in the spring ready for flowering in the summer. We had fun rifling through the forest in search of the seeds.
Once we found the seeds we gave them to the Year 8 students who put them into labelled envelopes.
